A family resort on the banks of the Dniester
The story of Saharna-Țiglău Resort and its cottages began several years ago when Victor Lupascu the owner and host, discovered the place by chance when hiking in the area. He was impressed by the natural landscapes and dramatic views over the Dniester River from a height of 90-100 meters. Then, he was intrigued by the discovery of some old early 20th century mines dug underground by hand. And finally, Victor was impressed by the rich history and cultural heritage of the territory with archeological excavations discovering traces of a prehistoric Iron Age settlement dating back to the 10-9th century BC.
All of these things together attracted him to this area and made him realize what a unique and special place this Saharna area is from both a natural and historical perspective. After finding a piece of land to buy, he began with the development and the construction of the infrastructure, cottages and other features with the goal of providing a place for others to discover and enjoy the special beauty and feeling of this area. Just as Victor first discovered years ago when he hiked through the Saharna Reserve.
About the Saharna-Țiglău Cottages
Today, Saharna-Țiglău Resort offers comfortable accommodation in its modern A-Frame Cottages, complete with kitchens and all modern conveniences. The surrounding gardens and orchard filled with fruit trees, together with the playground and forest, provide ample space to enjoy and relax in nature. The large terraces with BBQ grills make provide the perfect setting for memorable days and nights of eating and talking with family and friends.
One thing you will surely remember from staying in one of the Saharna-Țiglău Cottages: the panoramic views over the Dneister River. No matter what time of day or season, it will take your breath away.
