We found this place searching for stillness.
In 2018, Victor climbed the cliff above the Dniester and stood silent for several minutes. One kilometer down — Saharna Monastery, founded in the 18th century. Underfoot — archaeological traces nearly three thousand years old. In the air — only wind through the forest.
What began as a solitary refuge of silence and wind grew into a place of welcome. We planted an orchard, built A-frame cottages, and more recently — the sauna and hot tub. We built them slowly, as the place taught us what it needed.
"We didn't want a hotel. We wanted a place where people could find their quiet again, and listen."
